Recently I responded to a request in the Kingdom of Calontir Facebook group looking for someone to bind a book project. The artists were designing a round set of illuminated pages for Andromir Vukovic to celebrate his recent reign as consort. I was intrigued, and the timing worked out with my other project load, so I quickly agreed.
Below is the process of painting the leather for the cover, cutting and binding the book using single page sewing. I had a blast learning about sewing single pages, which wasn’t as different from sewing the multiple page signatures I had learned on.
